Title: Another air con question
Post by: danzigfan on 31 May 2018, 20:46:51
Hi guys, my air con never worked as it should - at least when I compare it to my previous MFL... Regased it last year - a little improvement shown but not as it should. Today I went to work and all I got from vents was slightly cold air.
Concidering that system has no leak, compressor kicks in, everything mechanicaly works as it should , would it make any difference if I clean/wash condenser? It could be full of all sort of things since it sits in front and maybe just can't work as it's supposed to.
Any thoughts about this?

Fresh pollen filter and heater blower hedgehog might help...

What exact model/age as that will have a bearing on what's fitted and how it works ;)

Pollen filter is 6 months old and still clean, I checked it today...I hope link above works....might be one of the causes

Done with cleaning the condenser, it made no difference so no result there. Interesting thing is that (UK side) passenger side of condenser stays hot all the time and driver side is just cold. Also that widened part of AC which is above oil dipstick is warm. I remember that part was freezing cold on previous Omega. Fans work, compressor kicks in I also removed pollen filter but it made no difference...I don't know what would be the problem here  :'(

Probably. Have you tried pressing the button?

I'm uploading video now, will post a link when it's done. Flap opens when AC setting on high, closes when setting is on low so no problem there it seems. I reset aircon, pressed "A" button a few times, still blowing cool not cold
