Lovely job as usual James. :y Is it OK to skim these heads if not too badly warped? :-\

Generally yes, but, it can cause issues with making the bolt holes on the inlet divider no longer line up properly.

Don't ask me how I know  ::)

 ;D ;D ;D

No and No.
It is blindingly obvious that a new airport will be required in 50 years or less. Do it now! >:(
Does no-one think of the catastrophic result of a large A/C dropping in central London on approach to 28R. We allow all and sundry to operate into LHR in order that we can operate into their countries. They do not all operate to our standards.
Think on. :-X

Before would give a better result...

With the following caveat... It gets driven as is to the place setting it. They fit the new tyres then set it up ;)

Hmm, what's wrong with fit and drive 2 miles to geo? At a cost saving of course. ::)

Fit new tyres before or after geo?

I stopped watching 'The Bridge' when the male detective took 2 vulnerable teenage girls back to his flat to sleep.

It's as though the script writers had no idea of the possible consequences. Couldn't take it seriously after that.

Be fair, his own two daughters of a similar age had gone missing, so an emotional attachment context was reasonable.
Having said that, it is reaching to think it would have been acceptable in this day and age. :y

There is that......but it would never be deemed appropriate for a policeman to take two vulnerable girls home......Even if wholly innocent. They could easily have come up with 'he touched us' scenario if so minded. Then what would happen?

See my 2nd sentence. :y

Omega General Help / Re: Rear jacking and axle stand points
« on: 21 June 2018, 15:52:59 »
Taken note and have now put the axle stands under the brackets to the diff and also wheels under the car.  :y I am using two large trolley jacks and there just wasn't room to place the stands along side as well. Thanks for the ideas.  :y

I have another problem. How do I get the rear discs off without damaging them?

I have loosened the brake shoes off on both sides using the adjuster and the discs refused to bodge. I can only grip the discs in one place so cannot wiggle it side to side like the front ones.

I always jacked the back up from under the diff & put my axle stands somewhere near the the rear do-nut bushes.

A large soft faced mallet often helps a drum to let go of the hub, though on my Smart Roadster I'd to leave it a week soaking in Plusgas.

Not recommended, but this article explains: http://www.floorjackadvisor.com/blog/can-i-use-the-differential-as-a-jack-point/

Hidden. Competent enough cop drama but have you noticed it is remarkably similar to The Bridge?:

The male and female leads both have something of a personality disorder for want of a better word
There are subtitles
There is something dark and horrible going on
There is even a bridge!

I haven't seen that, must look for it. :y

And ive just fixed it  ;D

To set the amount of salt it uses, you have to press a combination of buttons on the front of it.

So, thats what i just did......annnnddddd the low salt led came on  ::)

Filled it with salt and the led went out.......

So, now ive got a fully working machine again and a new one on its way to me  ::)

Dont tell 'em, and sell it on eBay. :y

We had girls at our school, so buggery was never really an issue. Thank opps.
.

One up the *** no harm done. ;D

...as an Aer Lingus stewardess once said to me in the crew transport while discussing a, possibly unplanned, celeb's pregnancy. ;D

We had a delightful young matron at my boarding school, MCS, just down the road from TB Towers. Should you be unfortunate enough to become tumescent while taking the compulsory monthly, (or was it quarterly?) bath, she had a long handled metal spoon with which our member received a sharp anointment. It usually worked. :-[ ::)
