STMO has stated that he and his whippet are leaving the EU on March 29th regardless of what the rest of the country does. :y

My laptop has suffered a mishap and is no more.😥......the less said the better. :'(

So, for now, I am using a ten inch Amazon Fire Tablet.

Once you get the hang of the smaller size and lack of keypad it's not too difficult to use. I paid 120 with a 30 money off voucher.

I may need help because I find myself strangely attracted to Alexa..... :-*

If it has bluetooth get youself a bluetooth qwerty keyboard off the bay of thieves for a few pounds. I've done this with my larger screen ipad, so typing is much quicker & you have the full screen for what you are doing.

Good to see your reactions are still first class M'lud and the laptop missed. ::) :-[ :o

Thanks, Mr Rods.

I shall look into this. :y

I find my iPad very easy to use now. No device-destroying updates either.

If you want something bigger, Opti, try this:

Very nice.
How about I find  the 119 and you put the outstanding 1000?...... :y

I want to know about the laptop's demise. Was Mrs Opti's sister part of this unfortunate incident?

Everything that costs money involves a woman. :-X :-X

Ten usable inches isn't a bad size though.

I hate p155y little screens, touch pads and screens and the like .
I like a proper keyboard and mouse and a screen I can actually see  :D

Yes. It would be better if it were larger.

Alexa has already told me as much.......... ::) ::)

I see a mk4 cortina fairly often, and a mk2,
a local guy has a morris1300,

this being Yorkshire no one throws anything away, ;D

I did spy a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus (if that is what it is called) quite recently.

Finished in black and silver it looked very smart.☺

So many cars that were popular during my youth are now rarely seen.

I can't remember the last time I saw something as humble and common as a Cortina or Austin1100/1300.

If she cant get a majority to vote for her deal then its no deal - unless they actually cancel the whole thing at the last minute.
I seriously doubt she will get a majority. Especially after last nights performance.
Time will tell.  :)

More likely a long extension of 2 years or more.😣

I've not seen the Triumph engined one, that was local to me, for a while.

There used to be a Matra Bagheera - a car I've always fancied - around the corner too

Three seats?

On the subject of Astons. The earlier 4.3 V8 vantages are now comfortably under 25k - hugely tempting at that kind of money.

People bemoan the presence of ford/volvo bits in them, but to my way of thinking, at least they'll work and won't cost a bazillion pounds to replace.

That said, the DB9 is arguably a better looker  :-\.

I'd love a DB6 but feel $25,000 may be not quite enough.....😢

Just getting home from dog walking and heard a fairly throaty exhaust note followed very shortly after by the sight of a K reg Marcos Mantis :o It looked to be in absolutely mint condition in a dark bronze colour  :y :y Not very common when new,I can't recall the last time I actually saw one even at a classic car show.

K reg will be from 1971/2........an extremely rare car.

Woodwork teacher at school around the same time owned a bright yellow Clan Crusader......which if memory serves came with an 875 cc lump from a Hillman Imp.

My sentiments exactly that craftsmanship has now probably gone forever.

Yup, I mean, there's every chance the new one will start most days you want to use it.

and not need a 20k refresh every few years.

Correct......but you won't see a white Aston parked out front of an airport with the word 'Taxi' on the roof.... :y
