Still trying to track down further faults, following its argument with a huge pothole at proper speed last week.
Could be, given the mileage, that a decent clout was enough to destroy already worn out bushes... Heavy cars are tough on suspension components, especially if driven hard, but you won't necessarily feel it from the driver's seat as 2.5t and a decent wheelbase make for a surprisingly stable ride inspite of worn out parts...

Other thing you might find is that an arm/link has moved out of place on a bush. Also, if aluminium, check for distortion and cracks.
I think you'll find its the same weight as an Omega ;).

But it probably needs bushes checking. Its been a while since its last inspection, where I polybushed a couple.

I thought you said you drove it down a muddy lane, got the underside covered in Horse plop then promptly whisked it round to the Gixer fellow....  :D

Two tyres on the back of the project car. Seem to have worn the previous ones out rather quickly!

Must have a phone kit attached that is holding the mute line

Discovered that the wheel couldn't be repaired. Bugger.

Discovered a new one is 650. Bugger.

Discovered, even with discounts, a new one is still 540. Bugger.

Permission to say bugger?

Is this on the Jaaaag?

It's fun when the VAG ones decide to restart in German after updating the software. I really enjoyed that task.

Hi Rob can you tell me more? Is 0v what the Ecu is expecting to see from a healthy CSD or is the 0v telling the Ecu that there is no CSD?

Its a seat strip down :(

Get a SRS from a breaker, non elite, as many later elites had this option included as standard.

OK, no coding required? Just disconnect battery, swap out unit, reconnect battery...

Opelscanner did most of the ECU's on my old DTi. Not cheap though.

Might take the back plastic panel off the seat and see where the sensor is.. Might be a case of a crumbling connector if I'm lucky - this car has 205k on it (although the passenger seat won't have been occupied for all those miles) so has seen a bit of use.... and every passenger seems to want it setup differently!!

Main connector block at sill has been checked.

If all fails I'll have to look at an SRS ECU. MOT not till April so got a bit of time.... I'll Just reset the code for now.

Compare airbag ecu part numbers across your fleet...

I could but they all have CSD!

Because SWMBO managed to lose the key to the daily.... Obviously I have the spare but for work I have got into the habit of carrying two keys as I'm always using the boot and we all know what happens when you shut the boot lid on a saloon!

Anyway, key has just been found  ::)

So this thread can be zapped!
