Despite their reputation[deserved or not]for unreliability and build quality issues they do make some beautiful cars.The GTV6 I had back in the early 80's was a glorious thing-far and away better than a Capri.

Yes a couple of weeks ago it was being described as the courgette crisis now it's moved on to other veg type stuff.Supermarkets are rationing the amounts people can buy of broccoli and such.

Are you sure oil leak is definitely from the bellhousing and not simply the oil leaking from the cam covers going around the bellhousing and dripping off the bottom?If definitely from the housing then the colour of the oil could give a clue.Auto box oil should be a pinky/red colour or  show signs of such accounting for dirt etc,while engine oil should be.....well engine oil coloured really.If it is engine oil I would say that rear crank seal would be favourite suspect,but as ever could be wrong!

There was a really,really rare one on the bay the other day[it might still be there for all I know] it was an estate advertised as Omega GLS V6 2198cc.A 2.2 V6 must be a rarity surely

Never owned an oil burner,never wanted to either.However if I had the money to buy a brand new car of any engine type I still wouldn't buy one,I'd buy a classic car instead.So to answer the question as posed no I wouldn't.
