Has anyone on here used their exhausts? One for my 2.2 is £84 + £24 delivery. Parts are both silencers, tail pipe and complete fixing kit. Also has 30 months guarantee. Worth a punt?

Omega General Help / Possible start to sensor failure?
« on: 22 May 2015, 22:06:53 »
Driving SWMBO home from Papworth today, a couple of miles from home on uphill drag felt a slight hesitation, barely noticeable, then the same again a few seconds later. Looked at dash, no lights illuminated. Carried on to home, didn,t do it again and pulled up hill to home no problem. Any thoughts anyone?

Taking SWMBO up to Blyth, Northumberland for her first visit to see our son since i moved him up there. When i go in Google maps the
quickest way is A1 then A19. When i drove the van up to move him i went A1 all the way. So lads, which way would you go.?
The trip is early March so perhaps some of the A1 roadworks will be cleared ::). TIA.

General Car Chat / Omega on Film 4 last night
« on: 25 January 2015, 12:48:54 »
Watched a good little British thriller last night. Only three cast members about a couple lost in rural Wales who upset a local nutter. The car was in most of the film but wasn,t sure which model but it had the boot spoiler and also colour sat nav.
The title of the film was In Fear and was quite tense in places without the OTT of Hollywood.

General Car Chat / Insurance
« on: 13 January 2015, 11:17:50 »
Just changed my policy over to Saga. This was due to AXA loading my quote from £187 to £358 due to my car now
being a Cat C. I asked Swinton (my broker) why this much and was told that Cat C,s are classed as expensive to
insure and best they could do was a quote of £299 from another insurer. Have now paid £170 with less voluntary excess
as well. So, as said before, always shop around, especially when your circumstances change when it,s not your fault
either.

General Discussion Area / Windy drive home
« on: 11 December 2014, 12:09:07 »
Moved my youngest up to Gordieland on Tuesday, had good drive up. Stayed over and came back yesterday. Had to give
trucks a bit of a wide berth on the A1. one guy was pushed right over onto the hard shoulder by a strong gust. My empty
van was a bit lively at times but all in all found it great fun. Got less windy south of midlands. :y

Omega General Help / Possible writeoff?
« on: 09 November 2014, 16:05:15 »
Some numpty stopped outside the house just up the road, got out, left his handbrake off, you can guess the rest. >:(
Have two dents in boot, bumper has sprung off both sides and the cross member that is under the plastic cover just
inside the boot is deformed so i can,t shut the boot. Any thoughts and comments you have could be helpful bearing in
mind the age of the car etc. I would like to keep the car if at all possible but i suppose it depends on the insurers.
