Wire wheels, radio and overdrive would have all been 'optional extras' on the 1965 3.4 bank robber Jag. :)

Very good  :y.

So which one did you eventually buy?  :-\

 :y

I initially purchased the Autel MD702. This however only reads about ten different types of cars... not including Peugeot  ::) My mistake though for not reading the description properly.

SO. Now have the Autel MD802 which reads everything........ even Bugatt:o :y

Mine is an Autel Maxiscan MS509. The Corsa loves it.  :y

....but it won't work on the mighty 2.6. :'(

Which is weird, because my MS509 works with my 3.2..

[edit] Although only when the engine is running, which is weird.

Ignition on........Ignition off.........engine running...engine off......It won't play ball. :-\

I just don't understand why people let the fuel level get so low. I always top up as soon as it gets anywhere near the quarter full mark and usually when it's below half. It doesn't cost any more, does it?

I can't afford to fill up as often as you.

I borrow petrol from my neighbour when he's not about. :)

Good luck with the car, James. I'm sure it will be nothing serious. :y

It was £190.

Expensive, but it'll be in my armoury forever or until I break it  ::) :y

But if it does all it should then it could be a wise investment. :y

I once drove from Ipswich to North Yorkshire only for a bluff  northerner to say 'tha's too late lad'

The tight bastard didn't even offer me a cup of tea. :-\

Hard to tell exactly but looking at the road markings it appears that the car driver started turning when the bike was about 50 feet away.

........that's roughly a third of a second at 100 MPH. :-\

Not sure that the speed on the oncoming vehicle has much to do with how much people pay attention at junctions:

*caveat: yes I know there are a few things the cyclist does wrong too, but it's to demonstrate the point of paying attention at junctions :y

Good find, Mr Guffer. No ambiguity there I think. :y.... The fault of the car driver.

At 100 MPH you travel 147 feet for each second. The car driver clearly didn't look.

Just my opinion but I think that bike riders make better/safer car drivers because we are more aware of just how quick a modern 200 BHP superbike can be. :y

If you'd done what your sister did just think how much that house would be worth now…

Go on, depress yourself and look her old house up on Zoopla to find its current value ;)

What can I say, Aaron. I was a callow youth who knew no better. :y In summary......I f**ked up.

Having said that, I had more pussy in those 12 short months than I've had since. ;D ;D ;D

http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-1633409/Historic-inflation-calculator-value-money-changed-1900.html

If something cost £1427 then, adjusted for inflation it should be £10,454 now.

Fooking hell. :o :o :o :o

I had a great time though. :y

An obliging uncle left me one seventh of his house in 1976.......£1427. I was sixteen at the time and not allowed to have the money until my 18th birthday.

Needless to say that I pissed my inheritance up the wall and was back to square one by the time I was nineteen. :-\ :-\....Ah well, we live and learn.

My sister who was twenty at the time used her share as a significant  deposit (25%) on her first house....which cost £5700.  :y

Size 10/12? I think that there's more to a woman than her size. It's called a personality. :y

True.....but sadly it doesn't count for much if you don't fancy the arse off her. :-\

That's life I'm afraid. :-\ :y
And a size 14 or 16 can't be fancied? Really? There's lots of pretty girls about in that size region.

Of course they can. :y
