You're clearly not getting enough M'lud and I prescribe the odd quickie with the scullery maid!  :y

Agreed. A bawdy romp with some big-titted wench may be just the tonic I need, Sir Tig. :y

21723
Iron Tablets for you then.

Yep. ....and this is not the first time my ferritins have been low. According to the internet and the doctor, low ferritin levels are/can be directly related to blood donation. :-\

The 'gloved finger' is to be avoided at all costs.

Indeed, it's not as pleasurable as those of a certain persuasion would have you believe.

Allegedly.

In seriousness I think they are perhaps starting to check thyroid levels as a routine thing at a certain age now? I know they checked my mums recently (which was low) and I know it also tends to slow up with age.

I also think the effects are more than just weight gain/loss but also include things like bone density (osteoporosis) and a host of other bits & bobs, not least your bits & bobs..

Thanks, Dr Aaron. :y

I was told that when its being checked, make sure he doesn't have both hands free

I believe you're getting your thyroid mixed up with your prostate..... ;D ;D

One makes you fat, the other makes you thin?

Though I think it's more complicated than that, really!

I'm six-one and 14 stone........not thin, but not that fat either.

hype... pure hype ... by a lawyer determined to live off, and have a pension pot provided by, the "system" ... far easier to file some spurious claims than to do any proper work.. :(

You mean like this one: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2631922/New-Yorker-files-worlds-largest-lawsuit-seeking-2-000-000-000-000-000-000-000-000-000-000-000-000-000-damages-dog-bite.html

Short version: Man is suing a laundry list of defendants (incl. the City of New York) after being bitten by a dog for $2,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000...

Ambitious.... ;D ;D

The doctor wants to check out my thyroid. I'm not sure why.

Like everyone, I've heard of underactive thyroid, and overactive thyroid, but have no idea what the associated symptoms are.

Anyone care to shine a light in my direction?

« on: 19 May 2014, 12:55:03 »
My 400 mile round trip from Lincolnshire to Powys showed 30.5 MPG on the trip computer yesterday.

12.2 gallons......£71. :'(

Oh.....and for those who don't know. My car is a 2.6 MV6 auto. :y

21734
.........yesterday about 5 PM  where the M69 joins the M6.

Anyone on here?

The owner didn't seem particularly interested in another Omega, so I'm guessing that he is not a member here at OOF.
