Chicken phall, special fried rice, keema naan, paratha, onion bahjee, onion salad and pot of mint sauce.

That used to be my weekly order :y I even got a christmas card from them, made out to Mr Rob.
That used to be my little brother's favourite dish, but just too hot for me.  Edible (esp if drunk), but after first mouthful, I couldn't taste anything else...

After a few beers, even a madras can make me sweat a bit...

A subject very close to my heart....food  :y

Over the last few years i have had the privilage of being 'educated' by someone from india, as a consiquence i seemed to have turned into a currey snob and have seriously considered moving out there
Yes, I too have been educated with proper home cooked curries from Asian friends and colleagues. Often we go the whole hog - ie, no cutlery, just fingers.  It is very nice.  I'm not saying UK Indian restuarants are not nice - I visit enough of them - but the home cooked stuff is particularly nice...

i'll see what i can do, in need of some serious sleep now!
Tsk Tsk Kids today  ;D. Well done have a few beers to celebrate. :y
Tunnies' obviously too tired. I'll have a few beers on his behalf ;D
Spoken like a true pal.  ;D
Thats what friends are for ;D
Couldn't agree more. Don't forget to tell him how you selflessly put yourself out on his behalf tomorrow, and remind him how many beers he owes you. ;D
He has to replace my beers?  Marvellous! ::)
Obviously, as you are drinking them on his behalf and saving him the trouble of a hangover in the morning, its only fair he reimburses you your expenses.
I'll drink to that ;D

she does do some good food  :)

Not sure what i have done wrong on the Elite...  :-/

Will check the tomorow!
Sorry, may not be able to help tomorrow, might be tractor engine swapping...  ...if you sort the leak quickly, feel free to pop round ::)

Plenum is already off just got in injection system to come off and i should be able to source the problem... i may be able to pop over tomorrow afternoon....

Who else is helping you on the change?
LFF64 has offered :y

You should be able to see the coolant bridge and pipework already.

You shouldn't need to remove the plastic bit of the inlet - the one with all the bolts, unless the cooler plate hasn't sealed...

Joking aside, I think YOU should be proud of what YOU achieved today.  Granted, you may have struggled to do the entire job (though I still think you could), but you tackled lots of things you hadn't done before :y :y

It is always a larf when James is about, and I thoroughly enjoy his infectious enthusiasm, and we always have a giggle :)

Sorry I had to leave by 7pm, but I felt a tad guilty I'd left Mrs TheBoy alone all day.  Plus I had an urge for a Madras ;D

Well no peace for me this morning, up at 7AM again, off into town and collected the 2.2 head for my dads Omega. Cost £47 for it to be skimmed, quite steep but they did a damn good job. James was impressed when he saw it.

Then off to Vauxhall dealer, got there 8:20 (opens at 8:30) the guy was already there, had all the bits i request. Again impressed!  :)

Back to mine, Mars bar for breakfast & a cookie, then James turned up in his shinny new facelift. After i gave that a good 'test' over to TheBoy's for some tools, and tempt him with free breakfast at mine  :)

Got going on my dads 2.2 started around 10:15 ish... car was running by 5PM.... took a while but we plodded along nicely.

Gave my dads car a good spanking to burn off some of the excess oil, runs fine now  :D - Still needs a bolt on the exhaust joint, as thats not on right. and the Temp sensor seams to have fallen off, thats a job for tomorrow.

I would like to say a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE thanks from myself and father tunnie for James tireless efforts in getting this done. Not once, but TWICE he has driven all the way from Cheltenham to come help me out.

This kind of friendship and kindness is very rare, and words fail me to say how thankful both me and father tunnie feel.

Thanks James  :y

Also thanks to Jamie for spending the afternoon helping out, although he seamed to be complaining most of the time!  ::)

Any who also putt the oil cooler and 2.5 Elite back together... got it all done. Filled it will coolant, and hear water tricking *uh oh* look under the car, and water is pooring out between the engine and the gearbox  >:( >:( >:(

Its pooring down the front smaller gearbox sump, dunno what i left off but it just poors out  :(

After that we popped James new facelift in the garage, did a V6 timing check on it, changed the gearbox oil, and engine oil!

What a day....

But want to say thanks again to James  :y

"You done that yet, want me to do it?"  ;D

An enjoyable day, success with Father Tunnie's 2.2, success with tweaking the cam timing on James' car, and when I left, looked to be going well on your Elite  :-/

Whip plenum off, check hoses on inlet bridge first of all...
