F/S 2003 2.6 Elite Auto saloon
« on: 26 September 2015, 11:53:17 »

Looks like I'll be selling my car due to a new vehicle. So this is a heads up if someone is after a loved big cruiser.

Vauxhall Omega 2003 2.6 Elite Auto.

I have thousands of pounds worth of receipts with the car.

2003 (53) 2.6 Elite auto

77200 miles

MOT 04/09/2016

In the last 3 months / 1500 miles its had

4 New tyres
New pads and discs
Full service
New coil packs
New cam cover gaskets
New fuel filter
New headlight washer pump
Air con regas and check
4 wheel alignment
New battery
New crank sensor

Most work done by elite pete.

Dec 2014

Pollen filter
Air filter
6 New vx spark plugs
Oil and filter

Last year at 67k may 2014

Full cambelt kit
Waterpump
Coolant
Oil and filter change.
New aux belt
New coil springs

Loads of previous receipts and service stamps.

I have done 2 oil changes in the last 12 months December 2014 and July 2015.

The car is in beautiful condition inside and out, is as smooth as an Omega can be.

Maintained using high quality waxes and sealants.

Full spec including

Heated front and rear seats
Xenon headlights
Climate control
Full leather
Electric seats
Fox fx004 18" black alloy wheels
Rear parking aid
2 keys
Original handbook pack
Full elite spec less satnav

I will fully prepare the vehicle for collection.

only point to mention is drivers door lock is lazy.

Priced at £800. Given the work I think it's a fair price

Message me if you have any

I like the look of this car so much I've been trying to think up a reason to buy it...at the asking price, no haggling...but I can't. Totally wrong for my needs, but I doubt you'll find a better one.

It Is a Lovely car. I would says it on par with my 1st omega ( my 2.5 GLS in graphite grey ) which was a beauty. Me in typical fashion has spent plenty of money on it to ensure it has many years of service left. Whoever buy it will be very happy indeed. over the last 18 months the receipts total around £1500 so it really is ready to be enjoyed long term.

I'm sorely tempted to chuck the towel in on my 3.2 and buy this.

My 3.2 still has the strange noise albeit getting better. It needs exhaust cat back, lambda holes welding on and secondary lambdas, wishbones, steering idler, WIM. It needs tyres x 4. Aircon overhaul. Front crank seal. Headlights are faded and manky, dans look clear.

I'm wondering if it's better financial sense to buy this, and recover what I can from the 3.2

I'm sat right on the fence. I'm not taken by the colour or the wheels. But I feel they could grow on me.

My 3.2 however is, go faster black!

I was on the fence when I bought it. I was really unsure about the wheels but they did grow on me. I still have the receipt for them in July 2013 for £650 so they had some value left if anyone wanted to change them.

I can't believe this hasn't sold yet, a terrific looking example & a very fair price considering the obvious care that has been lavished on it.

Update on the sale. For the life of me I can't find the v5 to the omega. I've had the house upside down. I need the car gone by the 15th October so im prepared to take an offer on the car and upon sale go to the local post office with the buyer to apply for the new log book and tax the vehicle. I will knock £25 off the price of the car for this. I'm happy to call eclampsia also to prove the car is in my name. I will also knock a further £75 off so that's £700 I will accept.

I'll give it another 5-7 days then it will go on eBay. :)

I think the title without doubt, goes Terry Paget.....he is the outright winner on multiple Omega ownership. BUT having said that.....if we move house (thinking about East Anglia) :-\ Then with more space, including the potential of a covered storage area, then I'm having the title off him :) :)Also I will probably living in said covered space....in solitary confinement!! ::) :)
