She backed into me!
« on: 24 April 2018, 22:08:12 »

This afternoon I was parked in the road and a woman from the house opposite backed out of her drive straight into my offside rear light cluster.
We are going to deal with this without involving the insurance companies, for all the reasons we know about!
However, Vx say that replacement rear units are no longer available/stocked, so I wonder if any king Oofer might have one, please?

Last time someone backed into me, I was sat in the car and felt the bump.. I got out and she proclaimed; "That wasn't me! That must have already been there! I hardly touched you!" ::)

Went to the tip this week and as I was taking a bag out of the boot the car rocked backwards An audi has reversed into me and quickly drove off.Thats why people dump their rubbish in the hedge. My son also says the tip is a good place to pick up a nail in your tyre.

Some w****r drove into the back of my brother's Astra estate at a junction ,then drove off
(smashing the bumper,light,arch liner etc)
He got the reg ,reported it to the police strait away
chased it up a few times with the police
last call ,the police said ,"It's a civil matter and we won't be doing anything"
I saw it as a criminal matter
leaving the scene of an accident , not reporting an accident ,hit and run  >:(

Sorry, but if nobody was hurt, reporting an accident is not obligatory. One of the many ways in which the police are not looking after us!  :(

Leaving the scene is still an offence, however. Clearly not as important as someone driving at 30.00013145 miles per hour somewhere... ::)
