Low mileage!

Be interesting to see what it makes in the auction.

Such a low mileage car[of any make]can be I think a double edged sword.Do you pay strong money for it and press it into service as a daily risking parts not used to the exercise breaking or do you use it sparingly-as it has been-and hope the investment now pays dividends in the future? After all to pay good money for a car means[to me at least]that you have some kind of plan for it.

It's worth buying to break it, just for the manwell bits, for the heathens that think you need 3 pedals.

Having both seen and done that, a low mileage car of that age is NOT a worthwhile proposition for daily use. I certainly wouldn't pay extra for the privilege. If you want a car for that, buy one that is already in daily use.

You've only got 2 feet, why confuse yourself with an extra pedal. :D,,,

Even my work vehicle has no clutch now, use to be a nuisance 16 gears.

I prefer my auto because it's easier and more relaxed. But, for anyone who likes to actually 'drive' a car, and get the most from it, the control of a manual box is the only way to do it.

I shift is about the best autobox* I have ever driven 8)

*I know it is technically an automated manual rather than a true slush box ;)

My old 2.6 was a manual & I enjoyed driving it ,my Merc is an auto & is a beautiful driver if I really liked a car I don't think either type of gearbox would put me off a purchase. I always go for low mileage one owner cars & have never had any problems whatsoever the Mercedes is a year 2000 bought in 2015 with 30,000 miles & full history now on 38,000 and has been totally fault free, the wifes Subaru is a 2005 again full history bought last year with 27,000 miles and drives like new.

And then Stone Age man came up with the manual box fitted in the Omega. As much as I think the AR25/AR35 was too old and decrepit to fit in the first Omegas (and definitely should have been replaced by the time the MFL/FL came along), the manual option available is even worse...
