Removing CCR2006

(1/2) > >>

gbh:
I've tried my best but no movement in trying to remove! Removed side switches and filed profile better but it's solid any other options? Only reason for removal is my car pass has gone missing and was hopeful that maybe the code is on the body!!!

TheBoy:
They can stick. You have to persevere, there is no "easy" workaround.

Chrisgixer made a hook that went in from cd slot, and hooked onto a solid part (not the bits you can feel with fingers) to help, but even with that, can still be challenging sometimes.

gbh:
I tried Persy but getting the hooks to hook is a problem how easy can they come out? How far to push pins in and assuming the hooks  face inwards?

gbh:
Can you get movement on one side only or is it both at the same time?

TheBoy:
You can feel then the removal tools are correctly securely.  You need to file the back edge flat, so no bevel on it, so it grips the clips better. Push both pins outwards, and towards you to release the catches.

But the problem is the HU sticks to the cage, which is what makes it tight.
