Throttle body for X20XEV
« on: 23 July 2018, 17:34:11 »

Hi can anyone help me? I am trying to find out if the throttle body off any year 2.0 16V engine, will fit my wifes 1995 2.0 16V engine, with automatic gearbox and no Cruise control? I am looking to get one to do up then swap it, with hers. I have found one off a 2000 model, but the person said he cannot gaurantee it will fit. This is the one I am looking at.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yeah that will fit. But check the number on the throttle sensor as there can be different numbers.

Hi Chazza12, thank you for the reply.  Is the throttle body sensor, the piece shown in the picture? If it is the numbers match the ones on the wifes. So I should be able to do a straight swap, once it is cleaned up?

yeah just swap over. before swapping when removed there is a tiny hole in the case spray some switch cleaner in the hole and shack it about and move the sensor armature on the sensor around and then let it drain out give it a good soaking inside. this will clean the switch resistor bar and be as good as new when clean. then fit it.  :y make sure its dry before fitting should just drip out the hole over time or evaporate :y.
