As we have moved house went to get a new address tag for our dogs collar, the engraver then told me what the law was regarding what should be on it, after listening to this utter rubbish I asked when was the last time you saw the old bill checking dog tags ? Then proceeded to have what I wanted engraved on the disc , more proof in my opinion that this country has gone completely nuts.

Since 2016, all dogs must also be microchipped, which does not replace the requirement to wear a collar and tag: https://www.gov.uk/get-your-dog-microchipped

Our Mutt has HER name plus my mobile & our address .... she arrived with a chip.

The dog's name being there is optional - when we got our tags they advised not to include his name as it makes it easier for someone to steal the dog and pass them off as their own..

Couldn't you have named the poor thing after a fuel that's actually fun to burn, like Petrol, or Avgas, or even NitroMethane?

He arrived already named The rest of the pets are named after TV or movie characters, so we just pretend he's Vin Diesel

My dog has my surname and mobile number on her tag, surely enough information for anyone that should find her if lost.
People my age hate this kind of shite, people treating you like fickin idiots, unable to think for yourself.*

Imo at least most people shouldn't be allowed to have a dog as a pet.
I am surrounded by dog owners and they make my life a fickin misery. I hear dogs barking from 6.30am to gone midnight. It doesn't occur to these morons that people can have young children who they are trying to get to sleep, people who need a good nights sleep before getting up early to do a days work, people who are ill who would like some rest, or like me are working 15 hour night shifts and need a few hours sleep before going back to work. 
If you cant train your dog not to bark randomly, disturbing the peace of everyone in a quarter mile radius, dont fickin own a dog. 
On more than one occasion I have stepped outside my front door straight into a pile of dog shit. Once I did this on the way into the house and didn't realise, so walked dogshit all through the house.
Spent an hour cleaning up the mess while constantly gagging. 
Shoot the owners and neuter the dogs.
