Peculiar computer/network problem.
« on: 07 September 2018, 08:19:11 »

Configuration:-
2 desktop pc's cabled to router.
1 smart tv cabled to router.
2 printers wireless.
2 laptops wireless.
2 tablets wireless.
2 phones wireless.

Problem:-

If I  reboot or switch off either laptop, both printers get disconnected from the wireless and are not avaiable on any of the wireless devices.

They still show as being connected to the router.

This only happens with the laptops, all other devices still connect to the printers no matter how many times you switch them on and off or reboot them.

I have to reboot both router and printers to get them to connect to all the devices.

All devices, apart from the printers always connect to the wireless network when powered on.

HP have even replaced one of the printers, to no avail.

Tearing my hair out. The fault appears to be on the laptops (win 10).

a) stop dicking around with wifi printers
b) stop dicking around with isp supplied wifi routers
(c) ideally stop dicking around with wifi, but appreciate its convenience)

Problem solved.

Why on earth do you needs 2 printers, 2 PC's and 2 laptops as well as assorted phones and tablets? Do you work from home for GCHQ?
