A quick anecdote
« on: 26 September 2018, 16:32:07 »

I came down this morning to a ficking awful stench. The dog must have had a bad case of the shits and had done two massive, loose piles, one on the mat at the front door and one at the back door. Poor little bugger must have been trying to get out to do it. Not an easy job to clean as it's barrier matting and stuck to the vinyl underneath.
Anyhow, got me thinking about wifey's posh mate with the big house. She has one of these robot hoovers that comes out at night. Her pooch had a crap right in the middle of the living room carpet. Then the vacuum came out.  ;D ;D
I believe the carpet was a write off.

That seems to be a common problem - I've seen photos online that I cannot unsee ;D ;D

Our mutt had a similar problem (he gets shut in the front room downstairs at night so that he can't accidentally eat one of the cats..) a few days ago; I heard him moving around in the night and we came downstairs to what I can only describe as an apoocalypse that looked like mostly melted chocolate ice cream.

Good job it's laminate flooring... :-X

Ours sleeps on the bed. If she needs to go out, she'll stamp on you until you get up ;D

I wish mine would. She doesn't bark, or whine, she just pants....and that can mean one of a hundred things. Not gonna wake me up by panting anyway.

Being sick into it while you're cleaning up doesn't help.  ;D

Our Mutt has only had a few accidents.
One occasion was also on the front door mat, but that was easily picked up to be cleaned.
Another time she'd gone behind the hall/living room door so that as SWMBO opened the door the mess was spread in an arc  ..... SWMBO walked through it in her bare feet.  ::)
The most memorable time was when she sh1t in a bowl that'd been left on the floor  ??? .... yes ... the bowl went the bin.  ;D

If dogs are uncomfortable at the back end, they 'scoot'. I would imagine that would leave a nice skid mark on your Axminster.

I will now be resisting Mrs. KW's subtle hints that she wants a dog with renewed conviction. :o

We had a cat as a kid. Every night it would be booted out and not let in until the morning.

Where it went or what it did I have no idea.

Same as us as children. We moved after 17 years and my dad wanted the cat to stay in he locality. Asked our neighbours if they would have her? Yes, she has been coming round to spend the night here for seventeen  years so no problem.  ;D our parents didnt know.

Fortunately the mad mutt I have is very good in the house despite spending most of the day alone while I'm at work. But all my floors are hard tiled so cleaning anything up wouldn't be so much of a problem :y

Touch wood our present Boxer who is now Four & a half years old has never had a mishap indoors yet.. A few years ago we were in Dawlish on holiday & our female Boxer at the time had spent a lot of time in the sea, anyway on our walk back to the site we stopped to get some fish & chips the shopfront was a lovely bright snowcem white, anyhow the salt water must have upset her tummy because she let out an almighty wet fart and the white shopfront was covered in runny globules of shit there was nobody nearby so I calmly strolled further up the road, god knows what the chip shop owner thought when he saw it.
