I certainly would be taking all the legal action I could to compensate me and my passengers for all injuries received, but I would with any non-fault accident.  I can just imagine what reaction this poor lady got from all 'officialdom' at the accident and since, backed up by her recent complaints.  The Royal Family MUST ensure the right things are now done! ;)

Why should he apologise to her? She was a passenger in the car, not the insured party.

Also if PP is self insured then she is going to struggle with getting anything... As they will settle as a gesture then find any little detail wrong with the Kia and throw it straight back at the Kias insurance company... Not because they're royals but because that's how self insurance works. No different to being in a prang with a TNT or Post Office vehicle.

She has probably found out that neither she or her friend carry insurance for being a passenger... Leaving her the obvious choice of selling her story... Which should be either automatically deducted or preclude her from any compensation she might otherwise receive. Especially as the paper probably paid her far more than she would be possibly entitled to for a broken wrist :-X

The fact that he apparently hasn't apologised and he and Lizzie have both been seen driving without seatbelts - him the next day I believe, really doesn't do much for their public image.
Makes them appear aloof, uncaring, elitist, as in "the rules don't apply to us" type of attitude.
We must bear in mind though, that much of this is based on press reports, so its a matter of reading between the lines of shite to work out the truth.

Hanging, or drawn and quartered, then?

As for seatbelts .. if I made it to 97, I might drive around without one too, hoping that one good prang would finally shuffle me off! Maybe his mental state should be investigated in case this was a case of attempted vehicular suicide...

No, for Royals, it was usually a French specialist swordsman who would do the deed, hopefully, but not always, swiftly! :D ;)

You misunderstand, Lizzie. It's not the driver who endangered the life of our monarch who is more likely to lose their head  :P

Ah, I see :y

But the Duke is not the monarch and has even "retired" from Royal duties, so is now unimportant and expendable. ;D ;D ;)

Apparently some of the crash debris has found its way to e-bay :o-why would anyone want to buy it even if it could be proved to have come from "that" crash ??? Wonder if it's Phil the Greek or ER flogging it to drag in a few extra bob :D ;D ;D
