xenon bulb upgrade.
nellys coupe:
ive fitted upgraded did bulbs on my audi from the factory to 6k these are dis is there any upgrades for omega headlight bulbs? :)
cam.in.head:
Not sure what you mean by did bulb ? and omegas with hid have d2s bulbs .otherwise normal h1/h7 for non hid cars..6k is the reccommended hid bulb temp at 35w. Not sure you can upgrade these .certainly not above 35w anyway.
As for the non hid you can't go above 55w but there are various bulbs available that give a better light output for the same wattage. Various makes do these .only used the ring versions myself but I'm sure Philips and Osram do some.
A few people on here like the nightbreaker ones.
Doctor Gollum:
Factory xenon bulbs are generally 4300k whick gives the nearest thing to a pure white light... 6000k gives the light a bluer tint... which is, in actual fact, darker... Ergo, not an upgrade at all ;D
Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited bulbs readily available in all Omega guises, including D2S. Pricey, but effective and my go to bulb of choice ;)
TheBoy:
For HID, the best illumination comes from the 4.1 - 4.4k, which is why most car manufacturers put in 4.2 or 4.3k HID bulbs.
Anything higher are show bulbs really, and the higher you go, the lower level of illumination you get.
Note, HID bulbs start to degrade as you use them, so don't try to compare a new 6k HID with a 18yr old 4.2k bulb, as the 18yr old one will be pretty shot.
tunnie:
I should replace the 3.2’s bulbs, but current ones good enough. Also if you replace bulbs should also do adjusters as well.
