Anyone see the Ford Fiesta which had the front end stolen overnight on BBC.?  Bonnet, bumper , lights, radiator(s).........:

Police havent turned up yet. Any similar coloured Fiestas recently SORN in the area? Any similar coloured cars had a front end crash recently?  Maybe they are secretly watching the gang and do not want this sort of attention !

Far from an unusual type of theft... Corsa D prone as well, but any car that can easily be dismantled without setting off the alarm is potentially vulnerable...

Eastern Europe. Just go on eBay ro/bg/Lt/ very ready supply of used car parts, Bedfordshire police have seen Vauxhall front ends for sale in EE. A few van loads have also been detained at Dover.

Complete cars disappear to order over to Eastern Europe for use as doner cars along with drain covers, copper cabling, metal signs, gates, war memorials etc, etc. It is a big problem in their own countries where any metal is stolen for scrap. In Ukraine place names are usually big lumps of cast concrete and stay put.

I believe LR defenders too. As you seem to be able to take them apart with nothing but a bent spoon.

I think you can just go round picking up bits and pieces of Defender that have fallen off by the roadside!

My father had a Mk 4 Zodiac back in the early seventies had it stolen one evening got it back minus the spare wheel all jacking tools & the air filter!
