Knocking from engine, suspension or other ?
Suspension, probably droplink :y.  As I was messing with suspension around 300m ago, just want to double check its all tight and won't drop off before ordering new ones...   ...CBA to try to exercise 4yr guarantee of these Meyle HD ones.

Talking of knocking from your cars, I went for lunch at The shoulder of Mutton yesterday (ring any bells ?) and remembered you turning up  to an OOF  meet there in the silver bullet.
The engine was knocking so loudly, we could hear it long before we could see it.  ;D
Was that the one we got turfed out from? By a river?  If so, that was around the time of "Engine Noise, terminal? thread" ;D

Yep, that's the one. Basil Fawlty,s brother had taken over the pub the day before and didn't want his car park full of cars, driven by people who wanted to buy meals in his restaurant.  ::) ;D
He wasn't there very long. The place actually closed down for  while - for some reason.  ::)
Later on that weekend, it sounded *REALLY* bad, during its LPG mapping runs with Lazydocker and Kevin Wood.

I know what I am going to be doing today, TBE has apparently developed a knocking noise.

*sigh*, just when I thought nearly all car tasks were complete ;D
As expected, it was the droplinks.  Looks like I might not have down the nut up enough when changing shocks and springs.

Job jobbed now though :y

Failed to fill the Jag with fuel.

Surely, the mongs know that given the high price of fuel, they need to bump up the maximum limit  >:(

Removed the ccr2006 gramophone system  :y
then re -fitted it to get the CDs out  ;D
removed it again
stuck in a new ariel amp & cheepo china 7" touchscreen
and routed the leads for the dvr and front and back up cameras
have to say , sound quality is good enough for me  :y good radio reception  :y
just need to mount the cameras ,pick up a live from the reverse lamp
and stick some choonz on a micro sd card
i will be buying a cage and surround to go between the head unit and the DFP-19-00DG Double Din Dark Grey Fascia Facia Adaptor clicky
which is no where near dark enough to match my console ,so I'll be painting that black too  :(

I've done most of that. but wiring around the Bose amp and replacing all of the door speakers meant I couldn't be arsed to fit the DAB aerial and DVR(as I've already got a dashcam) in a discreet way.

It works well, but doesn't like being packed in the Omega's dash; a couple of miles before I get to destination it drops the GPS signal and switches itself off before it overheats. Also, not coming with a cage meant I had to some very fiddly mounting to actually retain it.

I have a spare(for some reason) double Din bezel if that's any good to you?

I have a garmin nav you stick to the screen on a mount (and recently paid for update) ,so only wanted cameras and bluetooth for the phone  :)
and a decent library of music to hand , rather than a tape and 4 CDs  :y

You crushed the cold air feed pipe when finding space for all the cables and gubbins?

you could modify the ash tray , which takes up far too much space for what it is (unless you smoke) and add a 12v PC fan  :-\

Only PC fans that would fit there are those shitty little 50mm ones that were fitted to really old CPUs, or shitty motherboards back in the Northbridge days. Noisy, unreliable, troublesome pieces of shit ;)

I'd use the aircon fed cold air feed that GM fitted esp to keep the headunit cool ;)

This was the problem...

This is what the handbook says for tank capacity, but only allowed £99, I couldn't test it...

You could have replaced the nossel back in the pump, then taken it back out again, and filled up the rest of the tank, remembering how many litres you put in the on the first fill  :)

Now you know why I'm keen to know how many litres it does need from pretty empty, as the handbook is tosh ;D

Nope, it won't authorise the card again. Tried that before.
