Need to get mine looked at too, but it's probably a control problem as the whole range of the temp dial is hot(blue) all the way round to absolutely roasting(red) although the actual temperature change happens between 28 and red ::)

I would have taken the convertible out at the weekend (I assume you are driving the roller skate), but I think I'd have come out extra-crispy! ;D

Washed both of them. Again. For the second time in two days.

Bloody trees. But wanted the Skoda to be clean in case Mr Buyer actually turns up this afternoon to look at it.

Went to change oil cooler. It started to unravel a bit shortly after I'd got it high enough to undo the oil filter and the oil cooler pipes there as I discovered that I'd left the crowsfoot in a drawer at home :-[ >:( Anyway drained coolant before dropping car back onto its wheels and doing nearly all the top end work.Flaming Norah, some of those bolts were damn tight! I think someone must have done some work in this area before as the front oil cooler pipe union didn't have a washer under the head and the very front bolt holding the black inlet plate was a 13mm headed ordinary bolt and totally different to the rest of them.Still back at it tomorrow morning for round two-and yes I will remember to take the crowsfoot with me ;D.Just going to have to tighten some of the larger bolts[coolant bridge for example]as tight as I dare as I've also found my big torque wrench[the half inch drive one]which I'd need to use for these bolts simply rotates either direction without actually doing anything.

Fixed rear brakes.

Not enough tools to do the fronts.

Paid some eastern Europeans to make it look respectable.

And a semi reasonable job they did.  Turns out its black, and it seems the wheels are silver.

I think I'm going to have to get the paintwork looked at professionally, it seems to be very soft, and scratches easily.

best not let muppets with cheap detergent and brillo pad sponges clean it from now on ,if i where you  :'(
it don't take long to wash a car well yourself , and you can check it and see any scratches or areas that need attention etc
, I NEVER use car washers or them  hand car wash places

I only used places recommended by people I trust.  If it waits for me, it would probably get down 3 or 4 times a year
