Arguments with a prat
« on: 27 August 2006, 23:36:17 »

Just been having an email argument with the installer on my last car - told him outright his install killed the DIS and that I wish I had DIYed to begin with.

Given him a week to remove my old car from his site, or things will appear on the internet truthfully mentioning this and his company name!

tbh I'd rather just name & shame regardless if the car is removed or not, as it helps Joe Public out by informing them that there not always gona do a good job & probably mess the car up in the process...

We all like some sort of justice, but don't lower yourself to his level. Like the other guys have said keep a cool head, and you'll win in the end.

Good luck pal.

Been having a google  ;D

That didnt take long to find  ;)

See they have added a disclaimer now Martin  :(

NOTE that after problems with Omega ignition coils breaking down after conversion (due to their poor quality and inability to handle the slightly increased load placed on them by LPG operation) we only convert cars that have had a NEW COIL PACK fitted in the preceeding 28 days and accept NO liability for any subsequent coil failure.

Good luck  :)

Found out he found my review and thought I copied what he did - all I did was use most of the connected injectors and looms - with pipes trimmed.

Anyway I am NOT contacting him again - he has done good jobs but the one on my last Omega went wrong

I am afraid his attitude is not too nice either, the importers of the equipement have had no bad reports about him - but I had to bring the car back a couple of times.

I think it must be just me!

Last visit "any more visits are chargeable" and this was just before the shorted loom blew the DIS pack.

The funniest thing is that he set up his own company due to a duff install on his own car.!

A lot of the problems were back worked out after the roll and also when I fitted the kit into the 2.6 I needed to ask a few technical questions of the importers (2 5 minute chats).

I will be booking time with another local installer to trim the carburation as it is still a little lean.

Chap called Bernard who performed my certification
