Back from a short break
« on: 01 September 2006, 21:07:00 »

5 days in New Quay Wales

Seen a few Dolphins

Stuck behind a horsebox for 20 miles on the way

Had the caravans water pump stolen at 04:00 this morning

The site owners also ran a gas distribution business and sold autogas at 40p a litre.

Nice chip shops, rubbish weather.

Nice pub at Trevais beach

Stuck behind a caravan from Aberystryth to the A470 when I flashed him - he pulled over then I drove past - no faster than 45mph for last 20 miles >:(.

After Rhyader I quickly dropped into a [P] and let 3 cars go past with a big wave from car 1 who saw me confuse Mr Slow, but followed me at road limits for another 10 miles due to no good places to pull in.

Got 14mpg on the way back - not bad at all

Yes welcome back Martin  :)

Why would someone want to steal your caravans waterpump  :-?
I thought they were usually inside the van somewhere (under the sink?)

They are usually outside unprotected  :(

They are usually stuck in a huge can of water, and plugged into the Van. Very easy to nick, and expensive little item too  :(

They are outside and pump water from a container into the van

My grandparents hid the water tank under the Van, think you can get tops for them that are sealed but allow the water pipe though. Then lay the can on its side underneath the van. Makes it less tempting to nick
