When I had my 2.0 cav. I was offered one of the engines but wasn't brave enough to swap it :)

I could live with that, would be nice to see under the rear as it might have the IRS setup given the engine.

Many moons ago, I used to have a 2.5 V6 Vectra hatchback.....that was quick  :y :)

From new you could buy any spec Cavalier with the V6 engine.

Toomeys had a V6 in LS spec in their showroom complete with plastic wheel trims on 13's when I was looking at buying my old Cavalier in the mid 90's

From memory it was very close to the end of the Cavalier life and think they were just trying to shift the last cars with whatever engines they had left!!

Always rated my two old company cars 2.0 8V GLSi and 2.0 16V SRi. They were supremely reliable machines, except when your dealer services it and test drives it into the back of a lorry. They both did 50K - 55K a year for their three year leases.

IRS was never available on the Hatchback.  Only on the Saloon  :y

If that was the case, it had the smaller discs.  The SRi discs and callipers wouldn't fit under 13" rims (unless you are talking the early ones 1989/1990 cars)

Had one of those as well , very punchy engine  :) Bought a 2.9 granny after that  ::)

All Cav IIII's I can remember either had 14" or 15" wheels.
