5 cars looks like a decent turnout for a daytime meet on what looks like a cold (well, it is here), dreary day :y

Can we put names to faces?

Sincere thanks to everyone who came along today.

Whilst the weather was 'as predicted' it failed to dampen the OOF spirit, and the venue certainly lived up to our expectations. As promised, Heather and her staff had reserved a complete car park enclave for our little party, and the cafeteria kept us suitably nourished with very reasonably-priced fare. Ever since my original enquiry with the Miners Museum, they went out of their way to accommodate our needs.
I'll be speaking to her tomorrow, and'll pass on our appreciation.

The 'Road Run' went well, especially the spirited dash up along the Vale of Neath to the canal basin at Resolven. Whilst here, everyone present agreed that a similar future gathering should be investigated - possibly an overnight jobbie during Spring/early Summer 2012.
So, before going our separate ways, we took a look at this campsite:

http://www.ynysarwedcampsite.co.uk/FarmHome.htm

Whilst it's no doubt a suitable location, we now have sufficient breathing space to come forward, if necessary, with alternative ideas/suggestions, so 'watch this space' .......

Thanks again to everyone who supported the meet - it was great to put names faces to faces names!  ;D

Thanks for organising it Seth, it was my first meet and it was nice to talk to like-minded people - it felt strange to be talking about the forum to other people actually, Mrs Cool has no interest whatsoever so I never get to discuss it with anyone. The weather might have been a bit better but what do you expect of Wales in December?  ;)

Good to have a little cruise together too - great stuff  :y

Don't know what happened to Dan though - he turned off at Penderyn  :-\

Glad that you enjoyed the day Jon! ;)

Dan probably went over the Beacons to Brecon, then via Hay-on-Wye to Hereford, and joined the A49 there.
