You could remove the washer bottle and clean it out

Personally though, I'd just shove a running hose in the washer bottle, let it overflow and leave it running for a bit

Then top back up with a decent mix of screenwash :)

Cheers mate. Another reason to flood outside my workshop and use my company water!!

On another note, my air con was all sorted and whilst the engine bay had some space to work I treated myself to a brand spanking new radiator so no leaks or anything now.

Engine management light still flickers occasionaly. Visit to Vauxhall - £35 from my wallet and tech 2 says knock sensor faulty. Nice!

Now now James! You know I don't know about things like that!! That would require some mechanical knowledge

The one on the left? maybe? does that help?

I could point to it but as I don't know where the other one is I am none the wiser

That sounds about right! The guy at vauxhall said something about a pinched cable.

On second thoughts

When you face the car, it is the one that goes behind the cam cover on the left hand side. Wouldn't that be the drivers one then?

that one normally goes around the cambelt cover, but could still be pinched somewhere. The passenger one frequently gets pinched under cam cover...

I would repair the the wire rather than replace the sensor (bit fiddly to get to)

We (I) may well have unplugged this whilst doing the cambelt change....

Check it's connector and wire :)

check that the wire coming from the front driver side of the cam cover cable tray is not broken, and that the connector in this location is seated properly...
