With the average age of posters on here, it's a wonder there aren't more reports of actual telly smashing events.
True, but replacing the telly is more hassle than the short lived satisfaction of punching it...

And being of a certain vintage, we're old enough to think shit through  ;D

That's because all the journos with a passport are flying to Glasgow to complain about the lack of social distancing on flights... There would have been 15 people on the plane including crew if the press hadn't tagged along.

That's it... Not paying any more attention, it's only going to annoy me really grip my piss >:(

I just wanted to punch the tellybox yesterday when that tw@@t from the Sun asked when it was going to be available.

His face was a proper picture when the Medical chap said it's been available for sixty years and the prescribing Doctor could walk across the corridor and get it from the pharmacy  ;D

Funny enough we were talking about that today, it's on for this weekend roast pork 😃
Don't be afraid of it, it's only food.
Also....realise that if you cook it well, it's then your job. You're wife will start saying to people "Mick cooks a lovely Sunday roast, do you want to come over when all this nonsense is over".  ;D
Is that code for "we're having a gay orgy"?
Give it a fickin rest, willya.  ;D
Men are much better at it than women, hence all the Michelin starred chefs are male.
Gay males, get it right.
I love to be there when you told Gordon Ramsey that.  ;D
Who?
Shouty bloke from the telly box...

Say Opps alot ;D

Actually you'd probably get on...

Borderforce turn them around at immigration and rightly so.

The Omega V8 display is probably a bastardised Corvette one ;)

It isn't, hence the lift/ramp suggestion.

Death is the best result of getting it wrong.

Centre bearing comes off with the shaft attached.

It's been a while, but i believe the gearbox flange is secured to the output shaft with a nut,so if it does come out you have bigger problems.

Stemo raises a valid point as well.

Ideally you test the car on a two post lift or mot ramp with the rear end supported (not by the diff :-X).

Wheel bearings can then be ruled out by pulling the handbrake cable at the hub to stop one side or the other.

Being a manual, check the oil level, especially if any leaks from the output seal.

Topping it up may save it.

I wonder if people would respect and appreciate the NHS a bit more if they received an itemised account of their treatment costs.  :-\

Probably not!  ::)  ;D
Tru dat...

Bearings come as a complete hub flange, not available separately.

There are two switches on the radiator. They are different.

Ok.

1. You need to undo all six bolts completely from both ends.

2. Won't achieve anything productive.

3. Unbolt the diff end, mark a line across both halves of the shaft (it has a key spline and won't come apart/reconnect easily if oriented out of position). Drop the diff end and slide out from the centre bearing. Then drop the front end out.

Is it manual or auto? Either way it will leak if you pull the flange from the tail shaft, but... Drop the drive shaft as per above, it stays put, ergo no fluid loss ;)

Thank you both. I did not appreciate bulb checking imvolved occasional pulses, this seems exactly like that. On the 2008 saloon. sensing before the RH bulb, I would expect 6 volts; sensing before both bulbs I would expect 12 volts. Now I understand my problem.
The estate has the facility to automatically switch light sources between the wing and tailgate should a brake light fail. The hatch doesn't aiui due to being a different arrangement  ;)

It's in the manual iirc ;)
