One server turned off to reduce heat, along with one switch and one UPS.

Looking like we might get another storm, so hopefully that will take several degrees out of the air temp :)

Been very uncomfortable today, only went out twice for two short walks with doggie. On the way back this aft, in a lovely air conditioned car, we drove back through one of the more......erm.....'deprived' areas of Barnsley. We did it deliberately because we just knew we'd see some sights. We weren't disappointed. Shirtless drunks the colour of a lobster, fat birds with all their wobbly bits out, a water fight outside Iceland with kids running out into the road. Well worth the detour.  ;D

It was 38 degrees in Cambridge today. We are 20 or so miles from there as the crow flies, so not far off that here.
Thankfully its predicted to cool down a lot over the next 24 hours or so.

All equipment back on as from early this morning, and running well.

2 of the switches still need a deskfan to keep them cool, which is worrying :(

It wasn't the heat, which we'd managed to control reasonably effectively during the hot spell, it was due to disk corruption due to a split brain on the storage cluster.

schizophrenia is not the same as split personality disorder Uncle Stemo
one example of schizophrenia is the voices in my head that tell me to "stop at home and polish my gun collection " :P
