its certainly not a rolling restoration project but for someone who is willing to stump up for a new heritage shell it would yield a lot of parts

I have always been wary of covers, unless the car is clean and dry to start with the inside of the cover will pick up dust/dirt and use it to mark the paintwork with wind flapping ,I think they are best used as dust covers for cars that are stored under cover

I knew that would get attention! ;D ;D ;D ;D

No, honestly,  her Focus has been driving like a pig for months now with a low-revs mis-fire that had good days and bad.  It had had new plugs and coil pack but there was no ryme or reason to it.

Anyway, she's got a trip to Derby 5-up soon so I gave it a service and risked new plug leads and yet another coil pack.  It was the coil-pack!  It's never going to drive well but the improvement is stunning.  How it knew you were entering a roundabout so's it could mis-fire I will never know!

Anyway.  Lesson to be learned.  Don't buy the "cheaper" option coil-pack.

was the "cheaper" version by inter-motor by chance? :D

Yes tried all of that.
It seems to be more apparent on the estate. It seems the only thing that really clears it is the air con, but i shouldn't really have to put it on to clear it, that is what the demisters for. I am not the only one with this problem as it has all been posted before thru various members

I've never had a problem with misting on my estate, it always clears v.quick. :y

mine clears easy as well :y

Ah yes - SP60 was the one they were incorrectly using - it's now been withdrawn and you can apply to the courts to have it corrected to the relevant (SP30/50) code.

SP60 was "Undefined speeding offence" and usually carried a heavy insurance cost penalty when an SP30 (or SP50) would not have done.

More about this here - the documentation on the DVLA site appears to have 'vanished':
http://forums.pepipoo.com/lofiversion/index.php/t22493.html

More here:
http://www.pistonheads.com/speed/default.asp?storyId=11684

[edit] Oh as it was 6 years ago in your case, you should apply to have it removed from your license (it's no longer valid for totting up purposes and should have expired now, I believe)

thanks for the info,it didn't affect my insurance at the time, they just said they allow one speed offence(didn't even ask for the specific code) :y
