1999, T, 2.5 Elite Estate - POSSIBLY
« on: 07 May 2009, 17:47:37 »

1999 (T) Elite Estate
2.5 V6 with Automatic Transmission
Approaching 180,000 miles (but you'd never ever know it).
MOT until mid June - tax just out.

Full Elite Spec, incl BOSE, memory seats, self dip mirror, steering wheel audio controls, built in phone, Cruise, etc

Plus points:

* Bodywork is exceptional for a mini facelift. Aside of a few stone chips on the end of the bonnet, a very small mark on the fuel cap, and a small imperfection on the front bumper, it's absolutely mint. No rust in sight at all, arches and doors are A1. Small patch of rust on Griffin badge.

*Interior is again as clean as a whilstle, can't see any marks at all. I do sense the car was once smoked in - the headlining isn't clear and there is a faint smell of it.

*It has the Elite alloys which are clean for the year with no excess marks.

* Two brand new front tyres, done less than 50 miles (Rears are also very good). Receipt supplied for the tyres - had it done a couple of weeks ago.

* Both front wishbones changed by me

*Engine has just had a good overhaul, including:

New head gaskets, new oil cooler. New exhaust manifold gaskets, thermostat, and transfer pipe. 3.0 Cams fitted at the same time. Spark plugs also renewed.

Timing belt kit, water pump, aux belt just done - never driven on the road, so 40,000 miles left.

It will only be up for sale if I have no joy sorting out insurance. I stand to make a loss - inc the cams it's cost me best part of £1100 or £1200 - I guess I'd be hoping to achieve £700 for a quick sale.

Known faults:

* Aircon clutch isn't spinning, so that will need looking at.
* Alignment may want doing, as I've changed wishbones.
* Front wheel arch liners are a little split
* New crank sensor required (code 19 popped up and she stalled, after running for an hour!)

Pics and details on request.
