Crazy people
« on: 29 September 2019, 09:53:05 »

Dropped my mad wife in pontefract at 7:45 this morning to do a half marathon. It was tipping it down, and mean tipping it down. I expected a very poor turnout. Not a bit of it, there were hundreds there trying to drop off in cars. Race started at 8:30. I've been out with doggie, back home, nice cup of coffee and she's still got an hour to run.
Whatever floats your boat  ;D

Some people are just crazy but as you say Stemo "whatever floats your boat" me I was in my local pool at 07.30 this morning 50 lengths home for poached eggs on toast & now out with the dog for a walk, as for running great way to damage joints etc swimming & walking great exercise in my book.

Respect to her.
If she is , and I say this with great delicacy, a woman of mature age then the focus , determination and stamina to run a half marathon has to be applauded.
And you're sitting drinking coffee....

I think you deserve a medal for getting up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday morning to drive a deranged woman 'X' amount of miles to run a half marathon.

I hope she is aware of the sacrifice you have made. :)

She's 18 years my junior, Don. There's enough old women on here for me, couldn't be doing with one at home too.  ;D
