Seemingly killed the slave cylinder for my clutch!

General Car Chat / I have issues with a Citroen Xsara Picasso...
« on: 12 January 2018, 18:24:12 »
I have an old Picasso, which, suddenly started having issues with its indicators back in October...

Whenever I turn the ignition on, the headlights come on (even though it doesn't have DRL's) and when the headlights are in the off position, the indicator will flash maybe a couple of times then stop.  If the lights are on, then they work as they should.

In order to get the indicators off (Com 2000 unit) the steering wheel and airbag needs to be removed and a general ballache of a job is necessary and also a costly replacement (more than the value of the car)... Anyone got any ideas?

General Car Chat / Re: Looking at getting another car...
« on: 10 March 2017, 18:45:16 »
Got offered an LS400 a few days ago, lovely car and one I have fancied owning for a long time...  Unfortunately I don't have suitable pockets to run a V8 (or V6) petrol, possibly an LPG conversion (as long as the tank doesn't use half the boot) and I did note in my original post, bargain basement prices, money as always is very tight...

General Car Chat / Re: Thoughts on Fiesta 1.25
« on: 10 March 2017, 12:51:36 »
Until recently, I was driving a 1.25 fiesta in a 07 plate.  I found the engine underpowered, the gearbox clunky (and heavy) and for its size, thirsty (average around 40mpg, less on motorway miles).

There are better cars for a similar price, with lower insurance (they're popular with under 25's) and better fuel efficiency.

General Car Chat / Looking at getting another car...

I sadly and unwillingly parted company with my old mig back at the end of 2012 and miss it virtually everyday.  Even now, I find myself looking at mig's when trying to find an affordable (bargain basement) car.

Am I the only one who misses their mig or have some found a suitable replacement...

Ages since I have posted and even longer since I had my mig, but...

I have just seen a cheap mig, with an unknown engine management fault light...

I have no access to the vehicle or any potential fault codes, so just initially wondering what potential causes could be...

Still breaking, just have had a few delays, due to the weather and some personal things...

The doors were reasonablish although the door straps were knackered and have the typical age related rusting...

LH Headlight gone
ECU Gone
Rear Calipers gone
DS Wiper arm gone

Holding the car for another couple of days due to weather.

Shackeng - replied.

Phillbutt - Wiper arm not a problem, washer pump motor I have already used...

Sadly my mig (2.5 TD Estate Chipped) is off to the motorway in the sky next weekend, but...

Any bits anyone wants...  If they are easily accessible, I'll pull them off, if they're not, you'll need to get over here and pull them off..  its from £5 up.

Really will break my heart to loose her as she was  the nicest car I have driven...  :'(

Far from deserved...  I couldn't believe it when I read it...

The only reason he has got it in reality would be for the Queens Jubilee Concert which was full of 2nd rate singers  (face it the pop music industry is manufactured twaddle, that all sounds very similar)...

He has done some stuff for charity, so what, haven't we all???  Ulitmately he has just been doing hs job...

There are other far more deserving than many of those who have/will receive(d) honours...
