Yep, me too, when it was on special - I have 10 litres, hence my use of it!
You would advise that I dump it, then?

Ron.
You're lucky you only bought 10l of the shite. I was an idiot and bought a load  :-[

I'm guessing this can't go down the drain, so how do I get rid?

Down the toilet, give your morning doings an automotive scent...

I can recommend in Northampton if you're coming to the town itself. Though out as far as TB I've no idea.

Staying at Holiday Inn just off J15 M1. So anywhere near there? :y

So junction 15 is the "grange park" end of the a45. It's actually very close to the town centre. Come off the j15 and take the a45 to Northampton. You'll see a turn off at the Bedford Road roundabout and you'll be in town.

There is a lot of choice.

But I would go the Tamarind, Merlins or Star of India.  Parking for the first two is at the back of the spread eagle pub which is next door. Star of India park in the big car park on the race course dead opposite

:y cheers Webster!

That is the arse end of nowhere I'm afraid, so reckon you'll be looking be looking at a 4m taxi trip each way, to get you near the centre :)

I shall be driving so thats no bother.

Knowing MrsGK, she'll change her mind four times before then :D

Now the worst part of the job is removing all the old rubber.

 Fire? Solves everything!

(And not for the first time I'm impressed with the skill in making a relatively simple mould - if I were to try I'd probably end up in Casualty...)

ever tried to burn out a rubber bush?

No, I thought not.

Not a diff bush, but the remains of a shock mount on one of those Ford based "vintage sports car" kits... My boss told me to... He regretted it when we could no longer see the other side of the yard... :D

Niw what the bloody hell were they called? Panther, maybe?

Tried to change sidelight bulbs on MrsGK's winter runabout Tigra.

Decided that my hand definitely don't fit, and I'm too lazy to remove the bumper to get the lamps out, so I've flung the new bulbs in the glovebox and told her to get her workshop boys to do it instead ;)

General Discussion Area / Re: Tax DD
« on: 06 January 2018, 19:33:16 »
Now I'm not sure how this actually works,  but I 'un sorned' mine on Dec 22nd using the monthly DD system, got an email stating they would take double the amount on the 11th Jan, I presume to cover Dec and Jan, however I have sorned it again, yesterday as I am now away again for a few months.
Read the associated email and that stated the DD would be cancelled with effect from that day, so that means (if I have it correct) that I will not pay any VED for the short time I was on the road just about 14 days, although if pinged by the ANPR boys it would have shown as legal in all aspects..........
Or will I have a nice banking surprise on the 11th when they DD the full 2 months!!!???!!!

I did similar with the MV6 - they took two payments then refunded one a week or so later. Make sure the funds are in whichever account you use for tax :y

I find the new system very easy to use and have had no problems. A certain Lord Opti said he liked the old system because your tax disc reminded you of when it was due, but thereís no need because the money will keep going out of your bank account until you stop it.

This is true, but they should be able to calculate the tax on a daily basis rather than a monthly basis, to avoid the government double tax scam when you sell or buy a car!  >:(
Relax, Tigger, itís only £10-20.  ;D

But if they make that on every car that gets sold... LOADSMONEYYYYYY

Visiting Northampton (for reasons undisclosed in case MrsGK reads this) next weekend. Looking for a nice Indian buffet or restaurant within half an hour of a certain well known race circuit. Locals, advice? :D

(Her birthday tradition is to go to Cosmo, but I don't think there's one nearby...)

It is possible to reprogram a 3.2 auto ECU to manual, using Tech 2. :y

Dehumidifier in the garage?

We have a less than airtight garage and after a month under cover, one of the fleet was looking awfully "sweaty".
