Is it possible to swap the faulty TID in my GLS wheesel for a MID. I have a couple of good MIDs with a good length of loom wiring. I know i'm not going to get all the info because the sensors aren't there but what comes up on the TID is fine, I just want to be able to see it without bits missing

As much as I would love to keep it, i've decided to break the Elite due to the amount of little faults that are appearing and I don't want to spend any money on it.

All parts are available except for the Irmscher front bumper, grill and wheels, these will be going on my diesel estate.

Stainless steel exhaust £150 collected
Bilstein B4 front and rear shocks and Irmscher front and rear springs £200ono
Elite door mirrors £20 each
Interior self dimming mirror £15
Headlight level sensors £10 each
Prodrive rear spoiler £30

All the other parts are available just pm for a price oh and the colour is Noctourno Blue

Omega General Help / Glow Plugs

I'm going to be changing the glow plugs on both my DTi's before the weather gets too cold and I have a choice of plugs. The last lot I bought were NGK but I only had them in a year so was wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

The one's i've looked at are

NGK at £30.91 a set
Denso at £32.96 a set
Bosch at £39.00 a set or
Bosch Duraterm at £47.25 a set

I've just started with the plusgas so hopefully in a couple of weeks time the plugs should come out ok, fingers crossed

I have a set of front and rear facelift leather seats. I'm pretty sure you'll not see seats like them again. They come complete with 5 matching head rests and only have the electrical height adjustment so will be a straight fit for the GLS, CD, MV6 and CDX.

There is wear to the drivers bolster which has caused a hole the size of a 5p hence the price £40 but I need them collecting before 3pm Saturday 20th.

General Car Chat / DTi owners brain picking

I've had the exhaust manifold off today and while removing it I noticed there are 5 branches to it which surprised me as its a 4 pot. So when I removed the manifold it looks like the rear branch is for the exhaust gases to pass through the head to the EGR valve. Can anyone confirm that. Anyway i've blocked it off and if it works i'll look at welding up the manifold to make it a bit more permanent

I've just bought a 2003 GLS DTi which has some really weird leather seats, leather door cards and today I discovered a little round button next to the L R switch by the electric windows on the drivers door. Looks very much like folding door mirrors
