I was driving along and a funny light came on. Ooooh errrrrr I thought. What has gone wrong now? Anyway, I spotted a big car park on the left with a canopy, which is thoughtful of them, and it seemed popular with drivers, so i pulled in. I couldn't really work it out so I asked another driver what he thought. Your fuel is low he said. Fuel? What do you mean I said. You know, he said, what we all pull in here for. Is that what you are all doing I asked! What do I do now I said, I've only had the car a few weeks, it's never happened before. Are you mad he said, before wandering around to the back of my car at which point he said Oh I see, you have a diesel Omega. That explains it.
So, a new experience for me, but a very familiar one to all you petrol drivers. The fuel filling station. What great fun that was. Oh well, I'd better get used to it I supoose. I will be going to another one one day.
At least us petrol users dont get drunks jumping in our cars and asking us to take them home when waiting for someone and little boys and girls asking for a 99 with flake when we have our window down and stereo on [smiley=laugh.gif]

Got the TomTom go 300 and had it for ages. Its the dogs twitcher and the only problem ive had is if you ask for the shortest route it has tried to take me down farm lanes and cycle tracks but apart from that i wouldn,t be without it. Ive got the Carmin system in the Elite but its still the original disc which is 8 years old now so cant realy compare the two.

To be honest we toyed with the idea of selling a while back as the wife now only works less that a mile away and walks to work in the summer but the car is mint and well maintained but is worth nothing so I decided to keep it for the days when I feel a bit like a boy racer. I might even replace the 2.8 Quattro badge with TDi [smiley=wink.gif]

Hi All
My name is Pete and I am 41 years old. I am married and live in Northwich, Cheshire. I own a 98 3.0 Elite which I have had for about 4 months and is my second Omega to date. The first Omega was a 96 2.5 V6 CD estate with LPG conversion which I sold at 250,000 miles because I thought sooner or later somethings got to go wrong but I still see it around now. My wife drives an Audi 80 2.8 Quattro in pearl white which is a quick car but not as comfy as the Elite and nowhere near as many toys and I have a 73 Alfa Romeo kamm tail spider which I have been going to restore for the last 5 years; however, with me being self employed I just dont have the time.
Anyway enough rambling, keep up the excellent work on the forum.

Just come back off my jollies so I thought after putting the washer on (keep her in doors happy) I would find out what was happening in the world of Vauxhall as when I left all things Omega were a bit taboo. Well what a disapointment nothing has changed infact lots of the people that have contributed so much to the forum and invaluable information have left or been banned 
. I had noticed a few references to a new omega forum so I went on Google and look what I found [smiley=happy.gif].
A fantastic new forum with most of the old names. Well done all those involved in setting up and running the new forum
