I ordered 2.5 litres of Triple QX interior cleaner and 2.5 litres of Triple QX tyre/bumper cleaner this week for the princely sum of £3.80 delivered..........the interior cleaner has arrived, the tyre/bumper cleaner is still to come....
Reckon that would restore the black side rub strips fitted to many Vx ages ago, including my Battlebus?

Try rubbing in a little used engine oil....I used to do that on a car that had black plastic front and rear bumpers that had faded, used to bring them up a treat :y

Just popped into ECP to get an air filter for the Mondeo... £5.25 (1/2 price)  :y

I think the Mondeo will thank me for it, judging by how filthy the old one Ive just taken out.  :o
I reckon its the first time its been changed. That's main dealer servicing for you!

And ive just fixed it  ;D

To set the amount of salt it uses, you have to press a combination of buttons on the front of it.

So, thats what i just did......annnnddddd the low salt led came on  ::)

Filled it with salt and the led went out.......

So, now ive got a fully working machine again and a new one on its way to me  ::)

Hence R.T.F.M

Thankyou for your helpful reply....gratefully appreciated NOT!

Nowhere in it does it state if the salt warning led fails to come on....this is what you have to do!!

Suggest you think before opening your mouth!  >:(

Ive had a blower motor before, that would run fine with 12v directly applied to it, but wouldn't run driven by the hedgehog.
The cause of the problem was the commutator had become blackened/carbonised by the brushes.
Once I had cleaned the commutator with wire wool, it behaved itself and ran fine with the hedgehog  :y

So maybe that's your problem  :-\

IIRC my 2.2 had those connections inside a rear panel in the boot....I thought they were for a phone kit...the coax plug going to the roof mount aerial (my 2.2 was estate, so it had a dual purpose aerial on the roof)

Are you suggesting he's not a top trained engineer ;D

Moi! Never!  ::)

I suppose the track on the pcb for the sensor in salt dispenser could be burnt out  :-\

Ok, so my 16 month dishwasher has developed a fault...but its covered with a 5 year warranty...

The low salt led warning doesn't come on when there is low/no salt.

The led works as the led comes on for about 1 sec when you turn the machine on (as do all the other leds)

So repair man arrived this morning and changed the salt dispenser as he decided the sensor inside the dispenser must be knackered.

Still no low salt warning led.....even with no salt in the dispenser.

He has ordered a new pcb for it and is coming back next wednesday to fit it.

Now i dont think its the pcb  :-\ , as said earlier the led comes on for 1 sec when you first turn the machine on.

I would be thinking broken wire somewhere  :-\ .....but hey, im not the expert.

According to the repair agreement, they have until the 29th June to fix it or I can ask for a new machine!

Who thinks they will fix it within the next 14 days  :-\

Ive noticed this for some time.

I believe the indicators are less easy to see when the manu makes them part of the headlamp cluster.
There easier to see when separate units...

Berlin -> Bremen - 410 km - my best time was 129 minutes, using an Opel Senator B 3.0i 24V

I remember going down an autobahn many moons ago....in a Ford Sierra 2.0L at 120mph (max it would do!) and being overtaken by BMW's Merc's etc like I was standing still!  ;D
