Hi all just had an e-mail from what they claim is the tv licencing dept. they are reminding me that my licence is overdue . The fact is that the licence number quoted is totally wrong and the renewal date is incorrect by four months, they very kindly invited me to renew it online. ::) Yeah right I'm just looking for my debit card NOT  They even had the cheek to t.m. the licencing dept logo when the genuine licencing organisation don't  >:(

Slightly different tack of topic re. climate change. Went to Diss in Norfolk today, (no passport reqd  :D). Pulled up in car park at 2pm. Was a guy in his car using it as an office, mobile, tablet and also engine running. For the aircon i suppose. :-\ . Went back at regular intervals with various bits of shopping until about 4.30. Still there, talking and bloody engine still running. What chance has the world at large got in combating  pollution when people persist in this sort of thing. You see it much more in winter months during school runs or drivers waiting  to pick wifey/hubby from shopping and must keep their toes nice and warm. I,m not a mad, over the top tree hugger, but seems a bit f@ck you jack attidude. Sorry, rant over. :-[

How he spends his money is up to him. You could apply the same arguments to major areas that use significant amounts of energy like Sunday sightseeing, tourism in general, the electricity wasted by people watching mindless crap on TV, entertainment and sports, useless one time use consumer tat imported from distant manufacturers, food miles so we have everything all year round, poor energy insulation, excessive heating, patio heaters, winter beer garden heaters etc., etc. It is called Western freedom, the alternatives are very little freedom, law, no human rights, ex-judicial killings, etc.

It's called ignorance just sat there for ages with the engine running.  ::)

With some basic tooling, rear wheel bearings are a simple job. £30 part and 2 hours in the street for your first one.
You are too modest. Your idea of basic tooling goes a bit beyond the norm.
