Top Mounts
« on: 06 December 2013, 20:39:50 »

Where's the best place to get top mounts from please?

Taxi Al's reply to my other post prompted me to renew the top mounts while I've got the front end apart as I would probably have refitted the originals with 74K on.  :-[

GM replacements are around £70 +vat each so when I spotted SKF top mounts at ECP for £68.40 including vat for a pair I thought I'd get them instead. The trouble is, I dithered while I was ordering bits from GM and they've now gone back up to £100 a pair.

Soooo, just a general enquiry really, where do you guys get yours from?

You need to check the diameter/height compared to Omega ones, but the price is good... £26.36

Might also need the bearings £26.99... some come with some without, so double check

Cheers for the link Al.  :y

I'll have a proper look at it now. I've got to machine my bit of scaffold pole down slightly to use as a drift on the rear wishbone bush so I've got a few jobs to do.

Is this the complete set on ECP, so that I can compare it against monkfish? I'm kicking myself as the set below dropped to £68 for about one day.  :'(

Yup, that's with, the circles in the pics are the bearings, the rubber lumps the mounts :y

It is possible to buy poly ones, but the ones in the link are Pedders uprated rubber ones, so should last better than pattern ones...
