For sale, cheap plod suspension
« on: 08 March 2017, 20:19:37 »

Police spec shocks, front are LP and RP idents, rears are WD.

Removed from my 2003 3.2 plod. Rough appearance and its been ages since he was on the road so unknown level of damping left. Were still decent in 2013...! £20 collected for all four before I skip them.

Also pair of front springs from the same, good condition,  £30 posted.

All removed because I've replaced with Bilsteins :y

Pic of dampers available via email... PM me.

Ride height is about the same as Standard (Saloon), very slightly higher at the back (Estate) but most Plod Estates had self leveling.

I may be replacing my front shocks soon. I'm interested to know what effect plod springs would have on the ride & handling.
Slightly stiffer would be fine. A lot stiffer, ruining the Elites comfy ride wouldn't.
Anyone done this before, or have a good idea what the difference would be ?

If your coming down to Dartford via M1 / M11 / M25 your almost passing me either on the way down or back up, I could always tie up with MigV6 after that.

Just a thought if it helps.

Ride height the same, handling improved. As for mileage, largely irrelevant... 280k and still not broken on my estate and that car worked hard ;)

Get the rears too if you can :y

Great thanks. Will definitely fit the front springs. Will decide whether or not to fit the front dampers when I can ascertain how good or otherwise they are. Tbh, I'm happy enough with the rear of mine at the moment. Self levellers appear in good nick, snd I fitted new standard spec springs about 6 months ago. :y
