fixed rear door glass removal

need to replace a broken glass on one of the estates and according to Mr haynes you need to remove the drop glass,regulator and rails first before sliding the fixed glass forward and out.All seems a bit of a faff is there an easier way?

If already broken, then it should come out easy enough... ::)

If it's intact, then Haynes is right ;)

 Window already broken....... does this mean you have already tried the Jeremy Clarkson removal tool? ;D ::)

Nah! I'm replacing a broken one in a rust free door with a good one from a rusty door.
