Am I the only one to think that this pollution problem is a myth, or at least nowhere near as severe as the revenue collectors would have us believe?
Ron.
Come and stay with us Ron. We drive down from the mountains and in the distance we can see Granada city at the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas mountains. The city is always bathed in a smog of pollution. Very little wind to blow it away. It is highly visible. The EU have a list of cities to fine for failing to get pollution down. Granada is one of them. Funny thing is when you are in Granada you cannot "feel or see the pollution". It is still there.
Understood, but that could be harmless water vapour, especially as it cannot be "seen or felt". It doesn't have to be man-made, nor due to cars, although cars are easy to blame and tax!
Ron.
You should try going to an Asian city like Bangkok or Ho Chi Minh City which are horrendously congested and the traffic is at a permanent crawl.
You can almost taste the air, your clothes will stink of traffic fumes and you quickly produce big black bogies!!
But if you still don't believe that exhaust emissions are harmful to Humans, attach a hose to your exhaust, feed it into the car, start the engine and sit in the car for an hour.
Then come back and tell us it's fine!
Actually Ron, no don't do that because you will die!! Why? because exhaust emissions are toxic and will kill you!! That's a disclaimer just in case Ron decides to try it!!
