Back to the thread . Coming back eastbound on A14 this afternoon, a 55 reg Passat estate joined from the slip road about 50yds in front of me. He accelerated away to get into the outside lane and an almighty black cloud of soot/smoke poured from the exhaust. Does this indicate that the DPF has been tampered with or removed?

55 plate won't have a DPF, introduced around 2008/9 ish.
