So John Worboys is being released. Apologies made for not telling some of his victims.

Lets just examine the facts. He was a serial sex attacker  believed to have carried out more than 100 rapes and sexual assaults on women. Found guilty in 2009 of 19 offences and sentenced to ten years. Not long enough.  Why weren't the other instances investigated? You only get parole if you are a reformed character,  that is some reforming he has undergone.

Many other instances were investigated and the files sent to the DPP. It was decided to mark them all "no further action".
According to The Mail today, it all happened on Kier Starmers watch.

The justice system has failed here badly.

No matter, I am sure a few friendly people will politely whisper something in his ear (read that as, due to legal reasons, I cannot state what will actually happen if justice is to be served)!

Yep, coupled with pressure to keep prison numbers down, of course.

I think we've forgotten that the main reason we lock criminals up is so innocent people don't have to share the streets with them.

However, we only have the media frenzy over it, and we know the BBC & Daily Fail's only purpose is to outrage us all.  I don't have a huge amount of faith in the British Justice system, but enough to suspect we aren't being furnished with the full facts.  As certainly on the facts that are being widely spread, nobody would have sanctioned release...

As Warboys was only charged for a handful of his attacks, (including "only" one actual rape), could they not try him for the  80+ other attacks and get the bugger that way? I suppose that would be too easy.

"The System" decided not to pursue him for the others. Of course, we don't know why.

We also don't know the facts behind the parole board's decision, as said. In fact, the chap who headed it made the very point on the radio this morning, that he was prevented from releasing any details and was campaigning to change this. I think hope that what he was hinting at is that part of the "rehabilitation" process involved the administration of two bricks followed by extensive "re-education" at the hands of "big winston".
