Mondeo 1.8 manifold help

Exhaust manifold on my sons mondeo, trying to replace, at the side of the manifold there is a nut on the side of it, which I think goes to the EGR valve am having trouble getting it off, is there a sepcial spanner or something for this.

O yeah it's a 1.8 Zetec silver top.
