I think I can safely say that my new Omega is the mother of all MINGERS! Pete was around yesterday and he agreed that it is not only a shed, but a filthy shed at that. Definitely the dirtiest and worst kept Omega we have seen.

I had the same level of filth as your pic in my 206 before I valleted it.

Some people treat their cars like mobile ashtrays. Unreal!

Auto Addicts Omega, by contrast is so clean you could literally eat your dinner off the engine - not that he would let you, it would make the engine dirty!

And I thought Project TB1 was bad inside...  ...just spent 2 hours Vaxing it, so the cloth stuff is nice and clean now.  Just need to clean up the plastics, then the inside will be nice again...

Like my Veccy I bought recently....had belonged to a lease company, had been maintained thoroughly....well to vx spec.....but the woman that drove it hadnt cleaned it once I dont reckon in 3years  >:( It took me well over 3 hours cleaning the inside....i shampoo'd the seats twice....altho clean enough now....still not all the stains gone. She'd obviously used the coffee cup holder....i dont understand why there wasnt any mould! Actually I reckon you could have put a coffee cup on the dash and it would have gone anywhere while driving.....it was that dirty it would have stuck!

Bloke over the road from me has a Veccy, without fail once a week comes out with a bucket of soap bubbles and a sponge, car disapears in froth, hose pipe out, froth disappears, back in the house, 6 minutes flat, I've timed him.

Once a month he vacs it out, 5 mins flat, again I've timed him.

He's never leathered it off in the 3yrs he's owned it, let alone cleaned around the inside of the doors, boot or bonnet.

Cars never been waxed.

I once bought a 'J' plate Carlton estate for £75 as a project when I was between jobs a couple of years ago. It had been used by a builder as his 'work' vehicle.

The inside was covered entirely by a thick film of cement. It was so bad that you couldn't actually see the instruments. You had to wear a mask to go into it before I hoovered it out, (that filled about three hoover bags!!).

The odd thing was that under all the sh*t, it was actually in fairly good nick. I ended up giving it away though as I got a job and didn't have the time to invest in it any more. Shame, 'cos it'd have made me a bob or two.

The other thing was, that immediately after I bought it, I did the usual going through all the nooks and crannies and found a fair ammount of tooling, loads of loose change and some other odds and ends including a tyre pump, phone chargers etc. After a quick sum up of all the stuffs approximate value, it transpired that the car hadn't actually cost me anything!!  ;D ;)

The things I hate most about working on old cars is old sweets and damp soundproofing they're minging!!!  :(
