if you're going for the 2 ton jack, pay the extra couple of quid for the
quicklift version ... makes getting the saddle to make contact much quicker
the 3 ton version is about 50% extra ...

For example the 150 piece socket/spanner set is normally priced £150, trade is £120 - but it's often on sale at £100 - at which point trade price is still £120 so is actually more than the sale price!!
I have the 3/8" torque wrench which does 8 to 60Nm, then the big 1/2" which does 60 to 300Nm, plus adaptors between the two sizes.
From memory car mechanics mag did a test on car creepers, having looked at the halfrauds one I'd go for that clarke one as if you look at the picture, the base is lower than the castors. The halfords one has the castors fixed to framework which is level with the base - plus I'm pretty sure it was about the same price as the clarke one - although I think it could be folded and used as a seat too, the clarke one can't - depends on your priorities
