UK ebay seems full of them. I've heard reports that the MID in particular is difficult to read though...

Guessing thats what the eBay ones are? Standard ones painted blue?

Means a lot of work to get the whole car LED's blue....

Ebay ones are likely to be LEDs...

Most of the ones available on eBay are the LED variety.

Problem with changing to LED's though is that the light is only emitted in a forward direction, each LED has a set viewing angle. They don't scatter light very well, hence you would be better trying to retain your conventional bulbs, but try to change the color of them.

This can be done either with paint as Jaime suggested or by fitting rubber boots.

Ive nearly got the full set now all off ebay and to be honest im a bit dissapointed. The MID is hard to read and can only be seen on dull days and at night the switches are very bright so much so it affects your vision and im thinking of changing back to bulbs. :(

LED bulbs are not supposed to work with dimmers - and the instrument panel illumination has a dimmer - so will the LED bulbs work? This should not be a problem for centre console and switch bulbs though.

When I fitted my blue LED's they work in conjunction with the dimmer switch, but I still couldn't see anything during the day on my MID!!!!

yep it was CRAZY LEDS he has a shop it comes with fitting instructions and everything the only thing you might have trouble with is the bulbs behind the centre console i.e. the blower fan temp controls. the ones i got had contacts which needed to be trimmed so they didnt wrap around the bottom of the push in bulb holder i know im not explaining it very well but il try and post a pic if u have any trouble with em

oh yeah they work perfectly with the dimmer. the MID bulbs are made up of 4 leds each and are ground flat for a wide angle light beam visable in daylight, the other lights are as visable as the standard in day light like u can seem on an overcast day but not bright sunlight
