spent the last week looking for a phone that would fit in my pre installed car kit cradle, finally found one, placed it in and bloody hell the soddin thing isnt coming through the speaker.
the radio is a car2006 and the car kit looks like a pro fitted unit with the coiled charger/connector lead going behind the radio unit and a speaker down by the pass footwell. i have tried the accessory set up on vol (tp button to +3) but no go. there does not seem to be any settings on the mobile for outside sources. so am totally beemused!!! help b4 i cry.

Sounds to me like the fitter cut corners and didn't bother wiring it through the stereo.....hence the speaker in the foot well.

yep your right. i was told to clean the charger contacts and yes it worked but didnt a little later so ill just use my new bluetooth mirror (see my other thread).
