Still what do you expect if you put a pissy three pot into a two tonne mumsybus and then turbocharge the nads off it so that the performance improves from non existent to mediocre

I think Ford replaced the header tank as well as doing something with the level sensor.

Sounds like Ford still haven't figured out how to make a decent engine - but that's nothing new, just ask all the people with slipped cylinder liners in Focus STs..

The 1l turbo is great in the Fifi and good enough in the Focus, but just too strained in a Mundano.

Sounds like a fatal design fault to me in a mummy bus. Rug rat transport with no low level coolant sensor, that needs to be manually checked and topped between annual service intervals shouldn't be allowed. After all they have remote tyre pressure sensors now to let them know when they've worn through the canvas and the tyre is flat.

Sounds like a fatal design fault to me in a mummy bus. Rug rat transport with no low level coolant sensor, that needs to be manually checked and topped between annual service intervals shouldn't be allowed. After all they have remote tyre pressure sensors now to let them know when they've worn through the canvas and the tyre is flat.

Don't forget, that the bonnet is welded shut at the factory, and the owners manual is probably downloaded with the spare wheel and the whole New Car Handover experience is all about connecting the car to your Faceache page.

Back in my youth, a couple of lads I knew well had mk1 Uno turbo's.
Went like stink but the ride was horrible 
Another lad had a Daihatsu Charade 1ltr turbo which was brilliant in a fizzy sort of way until he did a Mark Bolen and wrapped it around a big tree 
He and the tree was okay but the car wasn't
